Hannover 96: Concerns about Julian Börner and Havard Nielsen, Gael Ondoua back | Sports
The chief of defense is missing at the first training session of the week!
Julian Börner (31) complained about hamstring problems after the 2-2 win against St. Pauli. Luckily nothing serious. “I’m assuming he’ll start again this week,” said coach Stefan Leitl (44).
Börner stayed in the stadium on Tuesday and trained individually, as did Havard Nielsen (29). The striker suffered a blow to the calf against St. Pauli and is expected to be back on the pitch on Thursday.
Concerns about Borner and Nielsen! For this, Gael Ondoua (26) returns to team training.
Because of his knee problems, he is not in the squad against St. Pauli. The Cameroon national player was able to go full throttle again yesterday and can play in the cup in Mainz.
After only 20 minutes, Hendrik Weydandt (27) left the training ground and went into the dressing room. Leitl: “Henne was treated on the back. He wanted to print, but we sent him in.”
It was a special training session for Enzo Leopold (22). The newcomer from Freiburg turned 22 on Saturday and made his professional debut against St. Pauli on Sunday. As a belated “birthday present” there was a “killing round” in training. As recently with Weydandt and Nielsen, the colleagues were allowed to shoot him. Reminds a little of the “Arschboken” under Kenan Kocak (41).
Chief scout Maximilian Lüftl (27) watched the training – and at the end of the session he actively helped. Half lift your colleagues when collecting the balls.
Funny: Sebastian Kerk and Maxi Beier play “soccer” with chewing gum during training, showing a lot of coordination and feeling in their feet.
