The view of Prague and the surrounding area for the completion of D0 is suitable: let it be driven as soon as possible
/PHOTO GALLERY/ The representatives of Central Bohemia and Prague are united around the route of the northern parts of the Prague Ring Road, which have not yet been delivered. This was confirmed at a meeting of representatives of the municipality and the governor’s office at the regional office (including the participation of the pirate mayor Zdenek Hřiba, his deputy for the area of transport Adam Scheinherr from Prague Sobě, but also people from ŘSD or the Directorate of Roads and Highways or the company Pragoprojekt).

Topic? Plans for the completion of the sections marked SOKP (road ring around Prague) 518, 519 and 520 – the connecting links Ruzyně, Suchdola, Březiněvsi and Satalice. The meeting participants are also calling for the quickest completion of the circuit, also known as the D0 highway. However, it is still true that the dates of the construction, which is being prepared by the ŘSD, remain unknown.
For the benefit of the surroundings of Prague and the metropolis
The completion of the section is a key response for the Central Bohemian Region to the ever-increasing voices of the northern traffic burden, with an emphasis on the main voices from the meeting of Deputy Governor and Regional Planning Jiří Snížek (Pirates). “In addition to confirming the stabilized route, we confirmed the will to complete the circuit on the part of both self-governing units,” stated Snížek. With the addition that Prague mediated the concept of traffic burden – and Central Bohemia ensuring a stable route in the principles of territorial development in its territory. He also places emphasis on cooperation with the mayors of individual municipalities in the vicinity.

Mayor Hřib emphasizes the importance of D0 for the capital and its inhabitants. “It is necessary to remind that the ring road is not only meant to make it easier for people from other regions to get to Prague, but also to ease traffic in Prague by diverting transit traffic from part of the metropolis,” he explained. Deputy Scheinherr pointed out that bridges between the ring road and the wider city center should also become part of the construction of the ring road. “We will commission a study that should determine where to lead the jumpers in the northeastern part of the city,” he reminded.
The furthest the plans have advanced “below Prague”
The so-called outer ring around Prague, after the construction of which and subsequently after its completion, calls have been heard for decades, is intended to relieve many Central Bohemian municipalities of transit traffic. Karel Bendl (ODS), the councilor for road transport in Central Bohemia, is also looking forward to the time when it will be finished. “It will help to lower the load on the second and third class roads in Central Bohemia, which will be reflected in their better management and longer service life in the case of reconstructed sections,” he pointed out in connection with the transfer of traffic that only passes through the “Prague Crossroads of the Republic” to the highway. Central Bohemian drivers should also feel the benefit.

So far, the western and southern sections of the Prague Ring Road between Ruzyní and Modletice have been completed, and the section between Satalice and Běchovice is also complete. He is preparing the construction of SOKP 511, i.e. the highway connection of the region east of Prague to the D1 highway on the route Běchovice–Modletice.
