Take a picture of Prague 8 and win. The district launched another annual photography competition

The third year of the Prague 8 day and night photo contest will last until September 15. The winner of valuable prizes will be announced every month, both professionals and amateurs can participate.
As reported by the city district of Prague 8 on website, photographers can participate in two categories. In addition to professional photos, they can also submit photos taken on a mobile phone. The age of the photographers doesn’t matter either, both children and adults can participate.
However, submitted photos must have a resolution of at least 150 dpi, and a resolution of 300 dpi is ideal. Only photos taken in the cadastral territory of Prague 8, i.e. in Bohnice, Čimice, Karlín, Kobylisy and parts of Libna, Troja, Střížkov, Nové Město and Žižkov, can be included in the competition. Also, no text may be entered in the photos.
Up to ten photos per month
Each competitor can submit up to ten photos per month by sending them to the e-mail [email protected]. month, the jury will select the winner of both categories, who will receive valuable prizes and whose photo will appear in Osmička magazine.
It will be possible to register for the competition until September 15. After the end of the photo competition, the best pictures will also be exhibited in the premises of the Prague 8 Town Hall.
The aim of the competition is to highlight the different localities of the city district and their hidden beauty. The name of the competition refers to interesting changes in the environment of places during the whole day and night, which are directly created for photographs. In addition, Prague 8 offers photographers both the historic core of the city as well as modern construction, forests and/or parks.
