Linea Light Group enhances the National Library of Vienna
Linea Light Group participated in the study of the new lighting project of the Österreichische Nationalbibliothek, the largest Baroque library in Europe. The Venetian company, chosen by the lighting designer Helmut Regvar of the Viennese studio LDA, has included its products in the Gala Hall dedicated to art and culture. Aarchitecture commissioned by Emperor Charles VI of Habsburg, the building houses the library entirely lined with wooden shelves and characterized by statues of characters from Austrian history.
The lighting design renewal project, the Salone and the access stairway, involved the issue of lighting fixtures and their electrical components, with the aim of integrating the lighting architecture. The Salone is almost 80 meters long and in order to emphasize the place, Helmut Regvar devised a method that guaranteed color rendering. The three-phase DALI tracks can improve the management and management of the numerous lights and elements.
Indirect lights are almost invisible to guests: the studio has chosen Navatus projectors to illuminate the shelves and some architectural elements. The products used have been adjusted to integrate into the environment. Also used was the Optus_W2 wall-mounted version and the High Protection spotlights, with a light color of 3,500 K and DALI control, which were chosen to emphasize the stairs that connect the visitors’ floor to the gallery. The statues were highlighted by Perriskop, a small but powerful projector – the same product was used for the lighting of the Imperial Staircase.
