In Prague, street sprinkling begins as soon as the temperature reaches 25 degrees for at least three days in a row. They are used for that special vehicle, each holding six to 10 cubic meters of water. Approximately 660 cubic meters of water are used up daily in this way. According to data from the Czech Statistical Office, the average Czech consumes 91 liters of water every day, and with the water used on one summer’s day on a Prague street, he would last almost 20 years.
