In his speech, the official presented the developments and challenges faced by the country’s economic and trade development in 2015-2021, trade policy and the multilateral trading system as well as the country’s regional economic integration.
Gumene also assured that the Republic of Moldova will continue its efforts to liberalize trade, integration and global economic development, supporting the multilateral trading system established within the WTO.
The review of trade policies and practices applies regularly to all WTO members. Moldova conducts this exercise every seven years, and the first evaluation took place in 2015.
