1. FC Köln: Sebastian Andersson in conversation with Grasshoppers Zurich? | Sports
Will Sebastian Andersson (31) leave FC faster than expected?
According to the Swiss daily Blick, Grasshoppers Zurich are said to be interested in the Sweden striker, who will no longer be needed in Cologne in his last year under contract.
FC coach Steffen Baumgart (50) recently said: “It’s the case that we did one or the other in the storm. It is therefore normal that one or the other could then have a high probability of having fewer game shares. That is openly communicated. Everyone in the squad knows where they stand.”
In plain language, this means that Andersson can go after signing the striker duo Steffen Tigges (23) and Sargis Adamyan (29).
Problem: Because of his knee medical history and his horror quota of only eight goals in 47 league games, the inquiries for the 1.90 meter tall blond boy were limited.
Now the interest from Zurich!
It is unclear whether the Swiss league appeals to Andersson at all. And whether the Grasshoppers could meet his salary requirements – Andersson earns over two million euros a year at FC.
The deal would probably not fail because of the fee. The clammy people of Cologne would have been helped to get the Swedes off the payroll.
The main thing is that a solution is found for the frustrated striker…
