Gergely Karácsony promises to place more bins in Budapest
The mayor of Budapest promises that after the 150 placed in June, another 195 bins will be placed in the city.
As is well known, according to the announcement, the budget of the Capital City Public Area Maintenance Co. Ltd. (FKF) will decrease by almost HUF 2 billion this year due to government deductions affecting the capital city, and for this reason the company is trying to save costs by removing some of the city’s trash cans.
This is necessary because there is not enough money to regularly empty the bins. The Metropolitan Municipality was forced to order a reduced technical content from the FKF, depending on the FKF and the FKF, this has to be coordinated with the professional trends in public cleanliness and the expectations for the maintenance of public spaces this year.
The trash situation in the capital changed somewhat in June, after 150 trash cans were placed in Budapest, and Gergely Karácsony, the mayor of the capital, officially on his Facebook page that they plan to place another 195 bins in the near future:
“After the 150 in June, we are placing another 195 bins in the city.
The FKF constantly examines the condition of public spaces and responds in time to Ment customs, including the revival of tourism and the reviving office presence. During the peak summer season, new bins are placed in new areas. FKF, which operates as part of Budapesti Közművek, decided on the new locations based on the signals received from the districts and the population.
Of course, they continue to monitor the use of trash cans in public areas so that the company can continue to adapt to the needs of the citizens of the capital for a more livable, cleaner, greener Budapest.”
