Yannis Kallianos: The heatwave has “locked in” – When is it coming to Greece and what temperatures will we see
THE Yannis Kallianos with his post on Facebook he referred to the heat wave that is coming to Greece, with the first temperatures and fire warnings.
In the weather forecast, Yiannis Kallianos mentions that the heat wave in Greece from Friday, July 22, however the following days can change regarding its intensity. That is, the heat that is a given, however the heat wave may be more… hotter or milder than the current forecast models.
The post in detail of Yiannis Kallianos with his evolution weather:
HEAT IS COMING FROM FRIDAY JULY 22
I had already given you this date 10 days ago. And I even told you: “Contrary to everything that was said that the previous days when we were allegedly visited by the extreme heat of Spain, this will not happen. From July 22 onwards it looks like further heat will come.”
WILL IT BE A DEADLY HEAT LIKE IN SPAIN?
The answer is no! It will be a classic Greek Heatwave, the duration of which cannot yet be accurately estimated and which will affect Italy, part of Switzerland and Austria, all the Balkans (and therefore Greece), the east and south of Turkey and Cyprus.
THE TEMPERATURE IS ABOVE 40°C
From Friday July 22nd onwards it looks like for at least 3-5 days we will visit these warm big airs. The mercury in our country, during this heat wave, will touch them 40-41°C and locally even 42°C in the heat sensitive areas.
THERE WILL BE NO EXTREME TEMPERATURES IN ATTICA
A heat wave may come, but in no case will Attica experience extreme temperatures. For example, if the new forecast holds, we will probably not see temperatures exceeding 40-41°C in Athens.
CAN THERE BE CHANGES?
Of course, there may be some minor changes in the maximum temperatures or the duration of this heat wave. But all this will become clear in the middle of next week. But the general picture is this.
Caution: I present to you now the likely weather development because we must all be ready due to the danger of fires lurking, citizens should be prepared even for the slightly more intense heat that is coming and the state apparatus to take its measures. .
Notifying you 1 or 2 days before about the heat wave doesn’t mean anything to me personally. From now on it makes sense to get informed. And of course, if something changed and came stronger or milder, of course I’ll tell you.
