The six paths designed by CAI Florence in the municipality of Barberino Tavarnelle: here they are for you in a preview
BARBERINO TAVARNELLE – Certificates will be presented on Tuesday 19 July at 9.30 pm at the Pasolini dall’Onda Borghese farm in Barberino Val d’Elsa, in the presence of the mayor David Baroncellicouncilor Tatiana Pistolesiof the city councilor Barbara Guazzini and of the representatives of the Cai section of Florence.
We are talking about the six new paths that wind along the ridges of the Barberino Tavarnelle hills.
Flanking ancient walls and lapping small streams, they reveal places of extraordinary beauty, immersed in the Chianti naturalistic heritage, embraced by the Valdelsa and Valdipesa.
The Municipality of Barberino Tavarnelle, with the precious support of the Italian Alpine Club section of Florence, rediscovers and enhances an excursion project, as has already happened in San Casciano.

A project that relaunches tourism through the identification of six paths that offer visitors and enthusiasts new emotions and suggestions.

Itinerary between the Pesa and the reliefs of the Badia a Passignano, on the traces of an ancient legend of the saint San Giovanni Gualberto. A wide-ranging path through woods, farms, vineyards and olive groves that alternate with sweeping views of Tavarnelle, Barberino and San Donato: Click here
Ring of the Guardingo Passignano. Path 460
A route in the area north of the Badia a Passignano, on the border with Greve mainly on dirt roads, some stretches on asphalted roads, but not very busy. Part of the route coincides with the Via Romea del Chianti (VRC): Click here

Exciting historical route near the characteristic medieval village of San Donato in Poggio passing near the old abandoned village of San Polo with its characteristic tower. The itinerary turns through clearings, woods and vineyards towards the Pesa: Click here
Along the Pesa da Sambuca to the Patrazzo mill. Path 461
Naturalistic itinerary along the Pesa in the less urbanized and more authentic part. The river flows with large bends between woods and crops. In the upper part there is a large floodplain to contain the floods. Some mills for grinding wheat reveal the considerable flow of water and the importance of the river in the past: Click here
