Long lines formed at Zurich Airport early in the morning on Sunday. The reason was passengers who were already there hours before their flights – although the counters were not even open yet, reports “20 minutes”.
“Check-in opens two hours before the first flight, i.e. at four o’clock, the security check at half past four,” explains a spokeswoman for the airport to the newspaper. However, many passengers who had flights at six, seven or even eight in the morning had already been there before.
Storm of around 6000 passengers
Especially at the security check, the rush of around 6,000 passengers led to waiting times and a queue to the front of the building. The situation calmed down at 6.15 a.m., the spokeswoman is quoted as saying.
Passengers are advised to be at the airport at least three hours before departure. Or even earlier if the passengers want it. For flights early in the morning, however, it makes sense to note the opening hours of the counters, says the spokeswoman. (from the)
