A 14-year-old girl from Copenhagen has been confirmed dead after a roller coaster accident in Tivoli Friheden in Danish Aarhus on Thursday, the police inform.
East Jutland police confirm the death in a press release, informs TV 2 and several other Danish media.
The amusement park is initially closed for the day, and all guests have been asked to leave the place, writes TV 2 East Jutland.
– Three people have been sent to the hospital, the fire service’s operations manager Anders Brix Christensen informs Jyllands-Posten. Police later confirmed that a 14-year-old girl was dead.
The fire brigade describes the accident as serious and says that one of the vehicles has slipped and that several people are trapped.
– We can see that the rear part of the train has in a way broken off and hangs under the rest. But I can not say anything or anything about what has happened, says park director Henrik Olsen to TV 2 East Jutland.
It must be the sights of Cobra that are affected by the accident. There is a roller coaster that is 25 meters high. The channel writes that several of the carriages are on a different level in the roller coaster and the rest of the train.
