Prague is among the best cities in the world. She rose to sixth place
The British magazine Time Out published a list of the best cities in the world for 2022. Prague was ranked 6th. According to a vote, it is even the third most beautiful city in the world. “Prague is not just a pretty face,” David Creighton told Time Out magazine, giving the reasons why it was ranked ahead of cities like Copenhagen, Berlin or New York.
In addition to the beautiful sights, according to the American journalist Creighton, tourists can enjoy the overall attractive quality of life in the Czech capital. He sees this in the “giant” number of galleries and museums, affordable and at the same time high-quality food, whether in shops or restaurants.
The best cities in the world according to Time Out magazine:
1. Edinburgh
2. Chicago
3. Medellin
4. Glasgow
5. Amsterdam
6. Prague
7. Marrakesh
8. Berlin
9. Montreal
10. Copenhagen
Easy exploration of the city using public transport is also an advantage. And if visitors are looking for quieter and calmer places, he recommends Divoka Šárka, noting that one does not need to leave the city limits for real nature.
He recommends visiting the city also because of the renovated embankment, which was nominated for a prestigious architectural award. He is referring to the dungeons on Rašín embankment, the grand opening of which was marked by anti-pandemic measures due to the coronavirus.
Creighton quotes and statistics. “Ninety percent of Prague residents think their city is beautiful, and even ninety-six percent positively evaluate public transport. Trams are the most,” concludes Creighton’s invitation to Prague.
Cities around the world are rated annually by the British magazine Time Out. Prague was in seventh place in the latest ranking and at the same time won the title of the most beautiful city in the world.
