Destroyed Russian military equipment can be seen in Prague. The exhibition arouses emotions
An exhibition of Russian military equipment, which was neutralized by Ukrainian soldiers, began in Prague. It is organized by the Ukrainian Ministry of the Interior and is intended to bring people closer to the horrors of the war unleashed by Russia. Prague is the third place where military equipment is exhibited and arrived in the Czech Republic from Warsaw, Poland.
T-90 tank, Buk anti-aircraft system or Šturm anti-tank set. This technique used and destroyed during the Russian-Ukrainian war can be seen on Prague’s Letne plain. For example, the mortar was still recently used by Russian soldiers during the war in Ukraine in the Kiev region.
The exhibition was brought by the Ukrainian Ministry of the Interior, which wants to commemorate the wartime horrors of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. “It hurts terribly, because it’s only a few kilometers from home and my family is there,” said the Ukrainian woman interviewed.
The destroyed equipment will be on display in Prague until next Sunday. But this is not the only attraction on Prague’s Letná. On Monday, the oldest carousel in Europe from the 19th century spun in the Letenská orchards. It was last in operation 18 years ago.
The interior of the carousel is in its original form from 1892, 19 horses and five cars that resemble cars from the 1930s. two dozen wooden horses are covered with real horse hair, and their manes and tails are made of real horse hair. “It rattled a little, but it’s still perfect. I enjoyed it a lot and especially the children enjoyed it,” rejoiced one of the interviewees. The reconstruction of the carousel cost around 23 million crowns, one ride costs 80 crowns.
