This week will be marked by a heat wave, which will be set up from Tuesday July 12 throughout France. Maximum temperatures will generally be equal to or greater than 30°C over the country, and the Nord – Pas-de-Calais will be no exception. Indeed, if 26 to 27 ° C are expected from this Monday afternoon on the territory, it is indeed 29 to 30 ° C which are expected from Tuesday afternoon. Cloudy periods could however be necessary, facing the sun’s rays which will remain dominant.
A photo towards the weekend
In general, the weather will be very sunny until Sunday, with the clouds being more present on Tuesday, therefore, and Thursday. Météo France warns that “temperatures are increasing throughout the territory, with a rather expected peak around the weekend”.
This heat wave should therefore be intense and long-lasting, in many regions of the country. It is nevertheless seen too early, at this time, to specify the heat wave risk of a geographical and chronological point, as well as the intensity and duration of this event.
Too early to talk about a heat wave
Note that the coast will be refreshing, with temperatures ranging on average from 21 to 24°C in Calais, Dunkirk, Boulogne… all week (except Tuesday).
As to whether the heat wave will turn into a heat wave (very high temperatures day and night for at least 3 consecutive days), Météo France specifies that it “is too early to specify the risk from a geographical point of view and chronological, as well as the intensity and duration of this event”.
