The 2022 D’jazz festival in the garden
The D’jazz au jardin festival will be held at the Darcy garden, from July 11 to 15, 2022.
The City of Dijon and the Dijon association Media Music invite us to spend several festive and convivial evenings, to the rhythm of jazz sounds, in the heart of the Darcy garden.
From blues to “vintage” jazz, including all crossbreeds, the program for this 2022 edition will suit everyone. More good news: the 2022 edition of the D’jazz au jardin festival is completely free!
Monday July 11
from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.: Blue Cookie (blue).
With a dazzling rhythm always on the lookout, an incandescent Hammond organ and alternately angry and subtle guitars, the voices will take you on a journey through the detours of blues rock and its crossbreeding, from Jimi Hendrix to Doyle Bramhall II, from Albert Collins to Robben Ford.
Tuesday July 12
from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.: Tribute to Peggy Lee (cool jazz & swing vocals)
The flexibility of the phrasing, warm basses, minimalist and without fuss, Peggy Lee knew how to impose her style: the intimate warmth. Tania Ivanov, a radiant singer with a smooth voice and elegant swing, pays homage to the essential “queen of cool”.
Wednesday July 13
from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.: T3 BIS – Jazz Trio (Jazz)
Without denying the great tradition of the association organ-guitar-drums, their music is emancipated from a traditionalist vision of this formula and distills inspirations from guitarist Peter Bernstein and his trio as well as from organist Eddy Louiss .
Thursday July 14
from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.: Bugala Quartet (World Jazz)
This quartet offers a jazz open to world music (India, Africa), mixing rock, funk, festive fusion with sometimes bebop phrasing.
friday july 15
from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.: String Sleeves (Gypsy jazz)
IT tinkers and IT patches up essential melodies from all walks of life. It is a festive and passionate music, which proposes to rediscover the world of before with a tender look.
