Left-green moral guardians in Zurich are pushing their fight against car posers. 72 parking spaces at the seaside resort of Utoquai are to disappear. So that vegetarian hipsters can have their peace
The city of Zurich will again sacrifice a piece of freedom. Namely in the form of the 72 parking spaces in Seefeldquai.
The street is to be turned into a park. This is what the city government signals in its affirmative response to a motion by SP parliamentarians in the municipal council.
The street in question had developed into a parade mile for so-called auto posers during the pandemic. In other words, young people who enjoyed parading through the city in groups in sports cars – clearly visible and even better audible.
Such events are of course a thorn in the flesh of the assembled car enemies on the left. From their perspective, any young person who enjoys big engines is a badly behaved nuisance.
The car poses that became popular during the pandemic are among the more harmless reactions of young people to the deprivation of liberty caused by the Covid measures.
Car enthusiasts always discover real gems in the Poser Corsos that make the heart beat faster and delight the eyes and ears.
This will soon be over, at least in the Seefeldquai.
Soon the acidified veggie hipster with oat milk cappuccino and cargo bike will finally have his peace.
Lambos are paralyzed.
