Kooperativa NBL schedule: Beksa will start in Ostrava, Sokol in Prague against USK
At the beginning of the summer holidays, as usual, the draw for the new edition of Kooperativa NBL took place. This year, the highest domestic competition for basketball players will follow on from September’s EuroBasket, where the Czech national team grinds its teeth for an excellent result, which should once again raise my interest in the NBL and basketball in the Czech Republic in general.

The creators of the schedule for the 2022/2023 season were also obviously aware of this, which is why they put together attractive pairs right into the premiere act, which is scheduled for the first weekend of October, which should immediately get the fans started. And so the competition starts a replay of the spring final between Opava and Nymburk or the prestigious North Bohemian derby between Ústí nad Labem and Děčín.
East Bohemia’s representation in Kooperativa NBL remains double.
With a new titular partner and thus under the new name BK Kvis Pardubice, Beksa will be introduced and her start to the season will be somewhat deadly. He will start three times in a row on opponents’ boards – successively in Ostrava, Děčín and at USK Praha – only then will he play at home against Nymburk. Really nothing to envy…
The Royal Falcons of Hradec Králové will play their first game at Folimance against USK Prague, followed by the guests of Brno, and in the third round they will travel to Olomouc, whose jersey will be worn by long-time Hradec quarterback Peda Stamenkovič.
The East Bohemian derby is scheduled for the 10th round (in Hradec Králové, official date November 26) or 21st round (official date January 28, in Pardubice). Specific match dates may change depending on TV broadcasts, European Cup matches and other circumstances.
Let’s remind you that the team of SK Slavia Praha, who succeeded in the playoff against Jindřichov Hradec, became a newcomer to the NBL.
The game model of the competition remained unchanged, i.e. first 22 rounds of the regular season, then the extension (8 or 4 teams) and the climax in the form of play-offs (preliminary round, quarter-final, semi-final, final and series for bronze).
FIRST LEAGUE: In the second highest competition, Tuři Svitavy and BK Vividbooks Pardubice will again compete in the new one. Both were included in the basic group East. The first league starts on September 16, Turu play on the ground of Opava B, Pardubice in Jihlava against BC Vysočina.
