Since the first edition of the NFL, 154,661 people have come to run or walk and 4,562,288 euros have been presented. With donations from the 2021 edition, fifteen projects were funded. Zoom in on three of them.
Support for cardiac interventions (Monaco Collectif Humanitaire)
As a result of the health crisis, the FESTOC room at the Luxembourg mother-child hospital center in Bamako (Mali) has become an autonomous cardiac intervention center. The Monaco Collectif Humanitaire was thus able to count on a donation of 60,000 euros in order to participate in the cost of the interventions directly on site, in order to avoid the trauma of a distant departure.
These interventions are carried out by the teams on site, accompanied by European teams from the Chaîne de l’espoir, including Doctor Guy Fernandez, an active member of SHARE Monaco.
Career Access Equipment for Happy Hand
In Cagnes-sur-Mer, the Happy Hand association is leading the “L’Alterrecho” project, an inclusive eco-place which hosts an equine mediation center accessible to all and which will soon house an educational farm, permaculture and shared habitat. Designed to be accessible to all, especially people with disabilities, it offers through its infrastructure and its community a multiple offer promoting social ties.
Thanks to a donation of 26,300 euros and in its approach to accessibility, the site was able to meet its needs in welcoming participants, members and volunteers, in the most ecological way possible. Note that the Happy Hands association has a branch in Monaco, in order to be closer to its members and beneficiaries.
Development of a sensory room at the IME “Les Hirondelles”
The medico-educational institute (IME) “Les Hirondelles” of the French Red Cross, in Biot, welcomes children and adolescents with intellectual disabilities. With a donation of 8719 euros and with the support of the “Courir pour Céline” association, at the origin of the project, Children & Future financed the development of the sensory stimulation room and a sensory corridor. The goal? Make the days of its inhabitants more pleasant, while providing a certain comfort.
