the half-realized dream of Frenchman Hadrien David
It was with a smile that Hadrien David arrived on Wednesday July 6 at the Budapest circuit where he will compete next weekend in the 6th round of the European Formula Alpine Championship. Vice-champion last year, the 18-year-old Royannais hopes to grab a second victory this season after that obtained last May at the Monaco Grand Prix.
“The objective is obviously to win this championship to move on to the next year on the next level and aim for Formula 1 in a few years, explains the one who, as a member of the Alpine Academy, was last weekend invited to attend the British GP in the stand of Esteban Ocon and Fernando Alonso.
“It was an incredible experience that makes me want more and more to reach this dream of being a Formula 1 driver one day., says Hadrian David. But I know that there is still a long way to go and that I will have to perform at each race”.
busy year
What is certain is that the year 2022 is already full of satisfaction for the young man, who in 2019 was the youngest French Formula 4 champion in history at only 15 years old. This year, he turned 18 in February, got his permit car, son Tray, established itself in the Principality and will be from the beginning of September student at Sciences-Po Paris.

“It’s hard to reconcile the two, it’s hard to tell your friends that you can’t go out at night because you have to revise or prepare for a race. But it’s the life I chose. I realized my first dream, that of entering Sciences-Po. I hope to achieve the second and one day be in Formula 1″.
Driver of the R-Ace GP team, Hadrien David wears the colors of the French FFSA Circuit 2022 team, like Théo Pourchaire who evolves in Formula 2, Victor Martins and Isack Hadjar who shine in Formula 3 and like Esteban Masson who participates also in the Formula Alpine European Championship.
