Stopped because the agents saw him go red and take a road in the wrong direction
Go through the red traffic light and take the road in the wrong direction in front of the motorcyclists of the Municipal Police of Florence. This is a knight stopped by the agents who later discovered that the bicycle he was traveling on was stolen. The fact dates back to last week.
The motorcyclists, as reported by a note from the municipality of Florence, have seen ilsta cycles while passed the red light between via Pier Capponi and via Fra ‘Bartolommeo without stopping. The young man then continued his run crossing viale Matteotti and turning into via La Marmora in the right lane, therefore in the opposite direction. It was in via Marmora that the motorcyclists reached La ciclista who, after an initial lack of collaboration, showed both valid identity cards and residence permits.
During the checks, the agents’ attention was drawn to the bicycle, of a well-known brand, which seemed to be of a certain value. And by a particular sticker placed on the left side of the vehicle. From a first check using the manufacturer’s identification number, they were not reported. Then the agents fined the driver for the rooms to the highway code and he then walked away. But once they got to the office they ran further investigations precisely on the sticker that reported what could have been an accompanying person from a letter, probably a name. And the registry showed a resident in the city who matched both the surname and the initial.
Once tracked down the person confirmed that the vehicle was his property and had been stolen from him in March. From the photos attached to the theft report sent to the Municipal Police, it was clear that it was the rider’s bike. At this point the agents started looking for the cyclist and in the end the search gave a positive result. The young man was accompanied to the command where he was reported for receiving stolen goods. The bicycle was returned to the owner.
