Barcelona eliminates a free parking
The district of Horta-Guinardó, payment from August. In all the car parks in that area of the city, the green area, which will have zone 33 and will start up on August 1.

GREEN SQUARES IN HORTA
In total they will be 1,520 green parking spaces with priority for residents from the city area. The City Council also plans to create 1,545 places for motorcycles, 110 for loading and unloading goods and 95 more in the blue area.
As in other parts of the city, residents will not be able to park on the streets, but they will have a maximum of two hours within the established regulation hours. Prices range from four euros per hour to free for those ECO vehicles.
STAFF STRIKE
In addition, the workers of green area, blue and residents of parking of Barcelona will continue with the strike that began in March. The works council suspended the protest to negotiate with B: SMthe municipal company that manages the car parks and parking meters, but has resumed the strike as it has not reached an agreement with the company’s management.
In a statement, the staff states that “it has actively and passively tried to bring forward proposals that satisfy both parties, without losing sight of the clear objective of elimination of split day“, as well as working to improve the protocol of security.
The employees explained that the management raised a proposal at the last meeting, they said Thursday, but that the strike committee called the strike “completely insufficient“, so they have chosen resume the strike every Saturday and Sunday until December 31.
