If you are used to taking public transport at Toulouse and in the agglomeration, you will no doubt have to take your precautions this summer. Tisseo actually takes advantage of this period when attendance is less to organize work or maintenance operations that will cause disruptions to the service.
Three weeks without a tram
From July 25 to August 16, 2022, you will only see no tram circular in Toulouse ! Lines T1 and T2 will indeed be at a complete stop. The cause: work to allow the installation of a partial terminus at Odyssud, in Blagnac, to ultimately double the frequency of frames at peak times.
Do not panic, however, if you are a regular user of this means of transport: shuttles will be set up. They will operate from 5 a.m. to midnight on weekdays and until 12:30 a.m. on weekends.
Please note that the T1 line will also not operate between August 17 and 26. Shuttles will be set up during this period between Ancely and MEETT stations.
Also note, the Odyssud stationtowards the Palais de Justice, will not be served from July 18 to 24.
The airport shuttle will allow you to reach by bus the city center to the airport. A less attractive price nevertheless.
Téléo stopped for fifteen days
Three months after its commissioning, Téléo will be completely stopped. From August 1 to 15, the first urban cable car in France will be the subject of a maintenance operation with heavy software updates.
“These are heavy operations, which cannot be carried out when Téléo is stopped only between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m.”, indicates Jean-Michel Lattes, President of Tisséo.
Metro stations closed
Until 2026, all escalators on metro line B will be replaced. Heavy work that had to happen to the temporary closure of stations to allow them to run smoothly. Each project lasts between three and five months, the stations are closed between two and five weeks.
For this summer, the Bordeaux train station will be closed from Wednesday July 20 to Tuesday August 2. Shuttles provide connections between Borderouge and 3 Cocus stations, in both directions between 5 a.m. and 12:30 a.m., seven days a week.
From August 8 to 30, it’s the Francois Verdier stationwhich will be closed due to the replacement of the escalators.
Changed bus routes
These are changes that will take place at the end of the summer. Changes that accompany the embellishment work on rue de Metzwhich must, in the long term, offer more space to soft modes of transport.
From August 29, no more buses will use this central artery of the Pink City. In this context, the northern part of the Lineo 9 will merge with Lineo 7Between The Union and François Verdier.
The southern part of Linéo 9 will merge with the bus 44, between Empalot and Esquirol. The route of line 44 will be modified to serve the boulevards of Maréchal Juin and Empalot towards Esquirol.
The route of bus 14 will also be modified: the line will leave its current route at Saint-Cyprien to join the Pont des Catalans and the Boulevard Lascrosses, then the Boulevards d’Arcole and Strasbourg. the bus 66 will be extended to the Grand Rond.
The line 31 will be abolished, restored by the route modifications for lines 14 and 66.
