World Congress of Air Rescue in Salzburg
timeline
The world’s largest specialist congress for air rescue, the “AirMed”, will take place in Salzburg from Tuesday. More than 400 pilots, air ambulance doctors, paramedics and rescue technology experts talk about strategies for the future.
The congress of international air rescue representatives lasts until Thursday. On Tuesday, two helicopters landed as exhibits in front of the Kongresshaus in the city of Salzburg. A Norwegian air rescue helicopter was delivered with a truck and fire brigade crane. Likewise an ÖAMTC-Christophorus. The unloading and assembly of the two helicopters attracted a lot of onlookers.
Between June 28th and 30th, the emergency medical helicopters of several operating companies will be on display in front of the Salzburg Congress Center. In addition to companies from Europe and overseas, all private air rescue operators in Austria are also represented by experts.
Optimization of rescue chains
The motto of this international congress in Salzburg is “United in care by air”. The specialist discussions focus on the entire rescue chains that are available for the severely and seriously injured and other emergency patients – whenever they are tailored to international, national, regional and local conditions. It’s all about the optimal and up-to-date care at the scene of an accident, in the following air transports through to the optimal handover to hospital staff.
