The Association of Polish Stage Artists in Krakow, which brings together theater, film, radio and television, has been recognized for the award in the field of artistic creation and artistic activity. 11 members of the association Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Culture and National Heritage prof. Piotr Gliński awarded the Bronze Medal for “Merit to Culture Gloria Artis”. The decorations were presented by the Małopolska Voivode, Łukasz Kmita.
– “We cease to be a cluster broken into atoms, and we become a strong one, defending the dignity and dignity of the SP profession,” said the first president of the Association, Józef Śliwicki, about the mission of the association established 100 years ago. At the beginning it is symbolic that the Union of Polish Scenes was established by the actors themselves on December 21, 1918, and right after Poland regained independence. In this way, it has also become fluid that the role of the artist is also to fulfill the patriotic service and actively engage with the whole of society. The Union of Polish Stage Artists played a role in the organization, we know Polish brands today. Confirmation of these merits are the Medals “Gloria Artis”, which can be awarded the honor today. Obviously, they are awarded to persons or institutions that stand out in the field of artistic creation, cultural activity or protection of culture and national heritage. Such a distinctive role in the role of ZASP. And this role can be called a mission – says the voivode of Małopolska, Łukasz Kmita.
The ceremony, combined with the complete theater season, results in the Actor’s Club ZASP-SPATiF in Krakow.
