Monegasque athletes rewarded by the town hall of Monaco
The traditional Sports Festival was held on Wednesday 22 June in the Cour d’honneur of Monaco town hall. The opportunity to bring together Monegasque sports personalities.
In the presence of Georges Marsan, Mayor of Monaco and Jacques Pastor, Deputy Delegate for Sports and Associations, Monegasque athletes received numerous distinctions.
This year, no less than twenty-eight disciplines were represented and five hundred and thirty-five medals were requested in total. Among them, forty-six gold, sixty-six silver and one hundred and twenty bronze medals were distributed by Monegasque athletes who took part in the last Olympic Games in Tokyo.
Two other awards ceremonies soon to be organized
They are Charlotte Afriat (athletics), Arnaud Alessandria (skiing), Cédric Bessi (judo), Théo Druenne and Claudia Verdino (swimming), Anthony Rinaldi (bobsleigh) and Xiaoxin Yang (table tennis).

The city’s medals were also presented by the mayor to the five athletes who qualified thanks to their performances during the Olympic Games: Xiaoxin Yang, Arnaud Alessandria and Anthony Rinaldi (representing his two teammates absent during the ceremony, Rudy Rinaldi and Boris Vain).
Two other award ceremonies are scheduled in the main courtyard of the town hall until the end of the month: that of the Rainier III Academy, on Tuesday June 28 and that of the Ecole Supérieure d’Arts Plastiques – Pavillon Bosio, Wednesday June 29.
