Mercato: The Cardinal approaches Paris FC, Alfarela towards Bastia
Paris FC is definitely very active at the start of the transfer window. After formalizing the signings of Mehdi Chahiri and Pierre-Yves Hamel, and while waiting for Paul Lasne, the Ligue 2 resident club should see Bastia defender Julien Le Cardinal (24) arrive very soon. The discussions accelerated this Saturday and resulted in the next few hours in an agreement between all the parties.
Unless the situation turns around, Julien Le Cardinal should therefore land in the capital. Trained at Guingamp and passed through Saint-Brieuc, he joined Bastia in National 2 in 2019 where he asserted himself over the climbs. Able to play as well in the axis, his favorite position, as in the right lane and even a notch higher, he was a recruitment priority for the Parisian sports director Frédéric Hébert who has been following him for several seasons.
A young goalkeeper will sign
In the opposite direction, Migouel Alfarela should join Bastia in the coming days. An agreement is also close, this Saturday, for the 24-year-old attacking midfielder from the Ile de Beauté rally. Author of three goals this season, he will have been an important joker for coach Thierry Laurey. But, for family reasons, he asked to leave. Furiani’s home crowd should appreciate his constant liberality on the pitch.
In addition, Paris FC should hire a young goalkeeper, in the person of Téva Gardies, when the stadium returns to Deauville, which should end on July 1. Coming for a trial in early March, from Sète, the 20-year-old doorman convinced the leaders to take him on as third goalkeeper next season. His signature could have taken place on Monday, but it was finally postponed for a few days, without the agreement being called into question.
