It was Norway that got off to the best start in today’s neighbor settlement against Denmark. Goalkeeper Simen Vestby Johansen stood well between the posts for Norway in the opening minutes. After three minutes played, it was exactly the same at the position 4-4, before Denmark immediately after went up in a two-point lead. Specialist Espen Røhmer equalized for Norway after six minutes, and it was again exactly the same. Danish Nikolaj Mogensen accounted for as many as 8 Danish points four minutes before the break. The Danes played fast attacking handball and did the challenging for the Norwegian defense. After good involvements from the mentioned Vestby Johansen, Norway got more opportunities to equalize before the break, but the Danish goalkeeper Simon Jensen was in the impossible corner in the final minutes. The Danes thus ran away with the first point after winning the first half 18-16.
In the second half, it was very even the first minutes, and both goalkeepers stood well in their respective cages. After three minutes, the score was 6-4 to Norway. It was Norway who had the initiative in the first minutes of the second half, but the Danes were never far behind. After half-time, Norway led 14-10, but the lead did not last long. Only two minutes later, it was again the same between the neighboring countries, before Denmark took the lead 18-16. It would not quite be for Norway in the final minutes, neither in defense nor attack. Denmark thus won the second half 24-19.
