City council new day-to-day management of the Southeast district
The Southeast district has a new executive board. The district committee has unanimously confirmed that it will discuss the 3 nominated candidates. Today they were sworn in by the Amsterdam city council. They are Vayhishta Miskin (Bij1), Raoul White (GroenLinks) and Tanja Jadnanansing (PvdA).
The latter is starting her second term as director in Zuidoost.
Tanja Jadnanansing
On June 14, Tanja Jadnanansing received the liberating yes from the entire city district committee. And in that wedding promise she puts the wedding promise first. As district chairperson, Tanja Jadnanansing has devoted the first four years to a safer Southeast. Under the slogan ‘Law and Love’ she wants to continue this battle from multiple sectors. Opposite a multi-headed monster, a multi-headed solution must be put.
Vayhishta Miskin
Newcomer Vayhishta Miskin is in Southeast and wants to give something back to the district that has given her so much. She is the first director of Bij1 in Zuidoost. Miskin document that Amsterdam is in the first place of the Amsterdammer, also Southeast. At the request of the district committee, the role of multinationals in the economic advantage of the district will be discussed in more detail. These multinationals can play a valuable role in the creation of employment, but this must be done according to the rules of the Southeast.
Raoul White
Raoul White is also familiar with Zuidoost and wants to continue to work for that community. He was a manager at the youth welfare organization Swazoom and a board member at the Southeast United football club. He was also active as a board member at the Meldpunt Discriminatie Regio Amsterdam. He succeeds the departing Dirk de Jager, who has ended his future to many regrets. The brand new member wants to combat the persistent stigmatization of the Zuidoost district. Southeast should remain available to Southeast, according to White. He wants to give them the opportunity, young and old, to dare to dream.
The plans will be divided among the 3 board members of Zuidoost together with the portfolios.
