A good news source from The Telegraph said that La Serpe has reappeared and that is also confirmed by Mark Teurlings, the lawyer of Henk ‘De Zwarte Cobra’ R., and the Amsterdam Public Prosecution Service. Teurlings would like to hear La Serpe as a witness in the criminal case against Henk R.
The evidence of key witness La Serpe forms the basis of the evidence presented in the criminal case. He has provided information that he heard from Jesse R that my client ordered the murder. I have questions for La Serpe and would like to hear from him”, says Teurlings.
During the handling of the appeal Willem Holleeder last June, it turned out that La Serpe was against it. nothing was ever heard from him again, leading to wild speculation.
Teurlings: “When my client was arraigned last year, I indicated to the Public Prosecution Service that I wanted to hear La Serpe as a witness. That turned out to be impossible because he was untraceable. Last week I was informed by the Public Prosecution Service that the officer of the witness protection program had contact with La Serpe. The key witness has indicated that he does not want to testify again because he would have said everything already,” says Teurlings.
According to the criminal lawyer, the Public Prosecution Service has announced that there is no longer any possibility to hear La Serpe. “They can’t get in touch with him again. However, I am not resigned to this and continue to ask to hear from La Serpe”, says Teurlings.
