Prague – The British heavy metal band Iron Maiden presented their new album Senjutsu in Eden today in Prague, and the large audience was delighted with the old hits. In Prague, a group called the Iron Maiden was to perform according to a medieval torture instrument last June 15 as part of the Legacy of the Beast World Tour 2022. However, the tour, which began in 2019, was interrupted due to anti-pandemic measures.
According to the organizers, the noisy production was applauded by 30,000 spectators at the sold-out football stadium. The international popularity of Iron Maiden was evidenced by the flags of Poland, Brazil, Slovakia and Britain, which visitors hung around the stadium.
The German gothic metal Lord of the Lost and the Australian hard rock Airbourne played in front of Iron Maiden.
Iron Maiden, which was traditionally announced to the cheers of the fans by the reproduced song Doctor by the British group UFO, introduced three novelties as soon as they entered the stage. Their new elaborate metal songs – Senjutsu, after which the seventeenth studio album Iron Maiden released last year, Stratego and The Writing on the Wall, are named.
In the Senjutsu album, which is a Japanese term for tactics and strategy, the scene consisted of typical Asian buildings and a huge samurai mannequin moved on stage. Since the fourth song Revelations from Piece of Mind in 1983, the stage has turned into a temple with rich projections, in which the singer Bruce Dickinson waved a glowing cross at the song Sign of the Cross, accompanied the song Flight of Icarus with a flamethrower or created a horror atmosphere at the Fear of dark. “It was such a metal mass,” one of the spectators summed up her impressions.
The band pleased its loyal fans with other hits such as The Number of the Beast, in addition to one of its most popular songs, Run to the Hills, which was sung by thousands of fans with the band. The legendary band, founded in 1977, did not deprive its fans of the traditional point in the form of the song Always Look on the Bright Side of Life from the British life of the British comedy group Monty Python.
Iron Maiden are deservedly one of the most influential metal bands. They have sold almost 90 million albums and performed over 2,000 shows in 60 countries around the world. Dickinson’s first recording with Iron Maiden was The Number of the Beast in 1982. In 1993, the band’s singer devoted himself to his own work for several years, but returned in the late 1990s. They are a frequent guest in the Czech Republic.
