A storm in the Czech Republic was breaking trees and destroying roofs. A unique cloud crossed Prague
Near Chrastavice, a passenger train ran into a tree that fell on the dormitory. “The passenger train ran into a tree at the level of Chrastavice at 8:53 a.m. The accident went unnoticed,” Petr Poncar, a spokesman for the regional fire brigade, told Deník. In Radonice, part of the village of Milavče, the wind damaged or tore off several roofs.

A strong wind in Domažlice ripped the roofs and felled the trees
For the time being, the fallen trees also stopped traffic on the railway line from Pilsen towards Munich in the section between Domažlice and Blížejov. According to the Czech Railways website, the operation has already been resumed.
The morning storm swept through Domažlice quickly, the wind in some places reached speeds of around 65 kilometers per hour and hailstones fell to about two centimeters in diameter, Simona Procházková from the Pilsen branch of the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute told ČTK. According to her, the so-called downburst probably appeared locally in Domažlice, a significant drop in cold air, which creates a strong one.
Problems in Prague
The weather has complicated transportation as well in the capital. Due to strong winds, the cable car in the Prague Zoo and some trailers were suspended on Monday morning. Between Prague’s Uhřiněves and Říčany, the operation of trains was stopped because the security equipment stopped working due to bad weather.
Updates #warnings previously issued storm warning, increases the degree of danger to orange for most of Bohemia and adds a yellow degree adjusts to northwest Bohemia. The warning about high temperatures and the risk of fire spreading remains valid.

“In connection with the crossing of the cold front, there may be intense thunderstorms today (with the possibility of supercells) with hail over two centimeters, gusts of wind and about 90 kilometers per hour and torrential rain with short-term totals of 30 millimeters,” said meteorologists.
On Monday morning, an unusual cloud crossed Prague from west to east. According to experts, a unique cylindrical (or “rotor”) cloud at the head of a storm cloud, called a roll cloud, is a rarely observed phenomenon that creates a mass of cold air at the head. The transition of the cold front from west to east ended the so-called supertropical days on Monday, which brought an extremely hot weekend.

The striking formation of tubular, vortex in horizontal orientation, which creates under the basic storm cloud, reaches a length of several kilometers. This phenomenon, which can attract a lot of attention, separates the air currents from the storm cloud itself (this makes the roll cloud different from a similar-looking – and more common – cloud shelf). Rarely, however, it can occur independently, regardless of the rushing storm.
Intense storms will cross Bohemia and Vysočina in the morning, and in the afternoon they will move to Moravia and Silesia. In the evening and at night, precipitation from the northwest should stop. While in most areas it will cool after storms, in the south of Moravia there will still be tropical weather, the maximum temperatures will exceed 31 degrees Celsius.
The record fell. They measured the highest June temperature near Prague, it was 39 degrees
Due to the dry and hot weather of recent days, a warning about the occurrence and spread of fires still applies throughout the country, but there is a risk of cold fronts and rains.
