The all-female exhibition “Of glass and light” kicks off in Siena
Siena hosts “Di vetro e di luce”, an all-female exhibition featuring the work of two artists, whose work focuses on the same material. From 23 June to 9 July 2022, the painting by Rita Rossella Ciani and the sculpture by Antonella Farsetti will be the protagonists at the Beaux Art Gallery in via Cecco Angiolieri, 13.
It is inspired by the contemporary while evoking tribal suggestions the works of Antonella Farsetti that plays with the transparency of glass, creating passages of light and visual effects that recall the mirages in the desert and bring back to the dimension that saw the birth of glass from sand and fire.
His sculptures seem to draw on two elements and take the form of “shamanic” that indicate an intimate and profound path of research. Antonella Farsetti, an artist from Sansepolcro, boasts collaborations with galleries from all over the world. Many exhibitions dedicated to her work by her and as many artists with whom she collaborated such as Tommaso Cascella, Bruno Ceccobelli, Dominique Landucci, Oliviero Rainaldi.
From May 2015 the direction of Spazio Bernardini Fatti, Museum of the Stained Glass in Sansepolcro, Ar, museum that houses the glass reproduction of Leonardo’s Last Supper in the same dimensions (1937/1942) and a triptych of the Crucifixion from the workshop of William Morris (1860) . Works by him are part of public and private collections.

Sienese, graduated from the Art Institute of her city, Rita Rossella Ciani immediately began to work “in the workshop” by Fiorenzo Ioni, master of sacred windows. Later she elaborates her very particular pictorial style made of visual games that lead her to explore optical art. Author of the banner for the Palio di Siena on 2 July 2006, Rita Rossella Ciani, she boasts a long artistic experience thanks to the practice and knowledge of different techniques. Her career path is full of commissions that bring her art to various parts of the world.
