Firefighters in Újezd nad Lesy have seen a new fire station, standing on the site of the old armory POŽÁRY.cz – the focus of hot news
At the end of 2016, the original construction of the fire station in Újezd nad Lesy was removed, and a new construction was started in its place, on the corner of Druhanická and Staroújezdská streets.
In the spring of 2018, the original contractor of the construction, the company DAKA stav, sro, was proposed insolvency, so unfortunately the construction work stopped.

On July 1, 2019, there was a construction site in advance and construction work on the fire station thus started again. Simultaneously with the tender, the deadline for the implementation of the work was extended to spring 2020 based on the request of the grant provider.
During the beautiful old lady’s summer, the ceremonial opening of the new fire station in Újezd nad Lesy was finally unveiled on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. The armory is used for firefighters of Prague 21.
The ceremonial opening of the armory was attended by representatives of the city management, representatives of volunteer fire brigades from the area, the Fire and Rescue Service of the capital. m of Prague and the Municipal Association of Firefighters of the Capital m of Prague, the contractor, the Office of the Prague 21 District and, of course, were present especially those who will use the armory – members of SDH Újezd nad Lesy.
The building was approved on 20 February 2020, but due to the epidemic situation in Prague, it could not be officially handed over to volunteer firefighters until a year later.
Representatives of the management and office of the district and the contractor, volunteer firefighters from the area, guests from the Fire and Rescue Service of the capital came to see the armory. m of Prague and the Municipal Association of Firefighters of the Capital m of Prague. The “fire cock” could not be missing either, but unlike the guests, it was thrown out of the window so as not to bring bad luck.
The total construction costs climbed to CZK 20 million. The capital city of Prague and the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic (DG HZS) financially support the construction of the fire station.
The volunteer fire brigade has an important role in the fire protection of our city district and the capital city of Prague. He participates in trips alongside professionals and, in addition, maintains an extraordinary alert when needed.

The JSDH Újezd nad Lesy exit unit is included in the JPO III category with territorial scope. The unit departs in the number state 1 + 5, or in the reduced state 1 + 3 within ten minutes from the announcement of the alarm. Its founder is the city district of Prague 21 – Újezd nad Lesy.
