2 months to make the buzz in Pas-de-Calais
From June 13 to July 31, six weeks and a few days, will be dedicated by the Department of Pas-de-Calais and its partners to the pollinators of Pas-de-Calais. Wild or last domesticated (we are of course thinking here of the bee), these animals play an essential role in the field of plant production.
While IPCC experts warn of the threats of climate change and the impact on biodiversity, this meeting is therefore timely.
“Aware of this issue, the Department has been mobilizing on this subject since 2009, and develops a number of actions on a daily basis to support their production (late mowing, honey plantations, organization of the fortnight of pollinators, etc.)“, underlines Jean-Claude Leroy, the president of the Department. More than 80 events will be organized. So many opportunities to raise public awareness of these issues that have been mobilizing the Department and the Syndicat mixte EDEN 62 for years.
In Arrageois, several events are organized:
– Crosses : evening organized by the Maison des habitants on June 18th.
– Arras : The CPIE Villes de l’Artois invites you to discover the marvelous worlds of pollinators through creative workshops, games and exhibitions.
