The Nupes struck a blow in Haute-Garonne on Sunday by placing its ten candidates in the second round of the legislative elections of June 19, who are in a favorable ballot in eight constituencies.
In the most prestigious, the 1st, Hadrien Clouet, a 30-year-old sociologist, totals 39.79% of the votes, clearly ahead of his opponent LREM Pierre Baudis (28.05%), from an emblematic political family of Toulouse.
The New Popular Ecologist and Social Union (Nupes) has a lead of more than 10 points in three other constituencies.

Credited with 46.54% of the vote, the best score for Nupes in Haute-Garonne, this local DAL (Right to Housing) official swept away the LREM Marie-Claire Constans (23.59%).
In the 8th constituency, formerly held by the socialist president of the Occitanie region Carole Delga, her protege and outgoing PS deputy Joël Aviragnet came radically ahead with 28.67% of the vote. He had been invested by Nupes without adhering to its program.
Same trend in the 9th, where the ecologist invested by Nupes, Christine Arrighi, is well placed to dethrone LREM Sandrine Mörch, who defeated Manuel Bompard (LFI) in 2017.
In the 3rd constituency, the outgoing Corinne Vignon (LREM, 29.27%) is threatened by the Insoumise Agathe Roby (31.60%), but can hope for a vote report from LR.
