First stone of “Ginkgo” in the 7th arrondissement of Lyon
GrandLyon Habitat laid the first stone of this 83-unit residential program ten days ago.
On Friday June 3, GrandLyon Habitat laid the first stone of the Ginkgo residential program located in the 7th arrondissement of Lyon, in the Gerland district, on the former Fagor-Brandt manufacturing site. The latter, which for some sixty years housed a manufacturing plant for household appliances of the said company, is the subject of an Urban Partnership Project (PUP) agreement, which provides for the implementation of a program mixed residential and economic activity real estate representing a total floor area of 72,597 m².
On the front of the program dedicated to housing, the Ginkgo residence extended by GrandLyon Habitat will eventually have 83 social rental units within lot B1 (25 units) and B3 (58 units). The program incorporates the NF Habitat HQE certification process (High Environmental Quality – level of excellence), an E3C1 label and compliance with the Metropolis’ Sustainable Habitat standard. The operation is carried out in design-build with the architectural firm BAMAA, the company GCC and Jean Nallet Construction, representative of the consortium. The operation, which should be delivered in the second quarter of 2024, represents a financial commitment of €15,906,266.
Were present for this laying of the first stone the mayor of 7e arrondissement of Lyon, Fanny Dubot, the deputy mayor of Lyon, Raphaël Michaud, the vice-president of the Métropole de Lyon, Renaud Payre and the president of GrandLyon Habitat, François Thévenieau.
