The price for the construction of the Philharmonic Orchestra on the Vltava is rising, the current number of over nine billion
According to two pieces of information, the preparation of the project documentation will cost another 780 million crowns, and the next billion will cost another billion. According to the full management of the city, the building should be completed in 2032.
At the announcement of the winner of the architectural competition, it was written that the costs are estimated at about 6 billion and should be completed in 2031.
The results of the expert assessment within the competition strengthened the original cost estimates for all architectural designs, ranging between about 6.5 and 11.5 billion CZK without VAT. The construction costs of the Vltava Philharmonic building at 9.4 billion CZK without VAT are based on the proposed architectural design, according to the approved document.
According to the document from January, the price increased by 15 percent due to the increase in construction work and materials, the originality of the selected design or the number of floor areas.

In addition to the cost of the construction itself, the city also estimates that another 2.9 billion without VAT will have to invest in other areas around Vltava, such as the rights of the city, the subway vestibule or transport. The estimate will be according to the document according to how the repair of the project will continue.
Now this studio, in cooperation with the city, has completed an architectural study. After this phase, the construction costs needed for the implementation of the Vltava Philharmonic and the project within one country will also be finalized. Subsequently, there will be an instruction to process further project documentation, standing in the document. Today, the councilors approved a memorandum that the Czech Radio will also take part in the preparations for the construction.
The magistrate is trying to co-finance the construction with the state, or according to two weeks, the city of Prague would not pay for the construction from its own pensions. He considers thus involving a private investor. Councilor Jan Chabr (TOP 09) said that the basic idea is to divide the funding into aunts between the city, the state and the private sector.
The Vltava Philharmonic Orchestra should have three concerts for 1,800 spectators, a chamber music room with a capacity of 500 seats and a multifunctional venue and other types of events with a capacity of 700 people.
The building should be shared by the Esk Philharmonic, the Prague Symphony Orchestra. Prague FOK or the music department of the Municipal Library in Prague. The Philharmonic will offer, for example, cafes and restaurants. The construction of the new cultural center is a part of the Bubny-Ztory locality, where the district is fully established and for 25,000 people.
