Prague – One of the most respected guitarists, Jeff Beck, will perform at the Karlín Forum in Prague on July 11, along with American actor and musician Johnny Depp. CTK it she said Liver Music agency, which organizes the concert. British blues and rock guitarist Jeff Beck is an eight-time Grammy winner and member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Rolling Stone magazine ranked him among the 100 best guitarists of all births. He has been active on the music scene for five decades, the last time he performed in the Czech Republic was eight years ago. Depp will accompany him throughout his European tour. Advance sales for the Prague concert will begin on June 13.
During his longevity, Beck has released albums that range in genre from blues, rock and heavy metal to jazz fusion to a mixture of rock and electronics. He entered the scene in 1965 as a member of the legendary group Yardbirds. Its other members were Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page. In 1967, Beck and Ron Wood and Rod Stewart formed the Jeff Beck Group, which disbanded after two successful albums. He later formed a band of the same name with other musicians. In the second half of the 1970s, he began working with Jan Hammer, with whom he recorded the album There & Back in 1980. 1 of Flash’s 985 albums is usually Beck’s most successful album.
Beck, described as one of the best guitarists of all time, will celebrate his 78th birthday in June. The 58-year-old Depp was a guest of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival last year.
