The mayors are a traditional eight-row rowing race that complements the women’s and men’s skiff races. This year’s 109th year also saw several competitors from Břeclav. Like the Olympic track, the traditional Vltava race is two kilometers long. From the point of view of a Břeclav fan, the most anticipated men’s main race was where Aleš Pospíšil defended the Břeclav colors in association with rowers from Prague’s Hamr. Ria Lukáš Helešic, this crew was a slight favorite. “Starting in the main race in front of TV cameras is an honor for every rower. The race was very fun, moreover it was my first start in the men’s main race and against Lukáš. After the start until the famous turn, the boats Slavie and ČVK Praha “After the turn, all the boats give the boarding that best won the victorious Slavia. She increased it slightly before the finish.” described the silver race Pospíšil.
Lukáš Kašík, Jiří Třináctý and Tomáš Bartolčic, who competed with rowers from ČVK Brno, also won silver in the student category. This crew did not manage the exciting duel in front of the finish with the crew from Olomouc and took second place. It was only 1.4 seconds to win.
