The legislative climate in the eleventh constituency of Pas-de-Calais
Less than a week before the first round of the legislative elections, Ifop interviewed for LCI the inhabitants of the eleventh district of Pas-de-Calais, where the former presidential candidate Marine Le Pen is running.
With 51% of the votes in his favor in this first round, the Rassemblement National candidate would achieve the feat of qualifying in the first round. Already the winner in 2017, she not only kept her seat for this new term, but this particularly high score would also confirm her roots in the constituency (she had reached 46% in the 2017 legislative elections and 45% in the presidential election). Marine Le Pen thus manages to place herself at the top of all segments of the population, including those who traditionally vote little in favor of the National Rally (30% of senior executives, 40% of those over 65), and to capture a Macron voter out of ten.
Then comes second, with a 20-point difference, the candidate of the NUPES coalition Marion Tondelier (30%). This score is also the sign of a new dynamic of the left in this formerly socialist constituency.
In the event of a duel against Marine Tondelier, in the event that Marine Le Pen fails to qualify in the first round, it is the Rassemblement National candidate who retains the seat (56% against 44%).
