NEW SCARLATTI ORCHESTRA Berlin, Vienna, Naples. Comparisons at the top for the Scarlatti Young Orchestra
The Scarlatti Young Orchestra meets Simone Bernardini of the Berliner Philharmoniker, and Patrick De Ritis of the Wiener Symphoniker, to build together two high quality concert appointments.
June under the banner of the great music of Berlin and Vienna for the young instrumentalists of the Scarlatti Young Orchestra, the advanced point of the cultural and artistic project of the Scarlatti Orchestra Community, conceived and created by the Nuova Scarlatti Orchestra and in constant development. Scarlatti Young in fact, after the warm success obtained last December at the International Festival of Youth Orchestras in Marseille, continues its growth path through experiences and meetings at the highest levels with two appearances of absolute international value: the Turin Simone Bernardini, already first violin (Konzertmeister) of the Berliner Philharmoniker (as well as of the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Teatro alla Scala, of the Soloists of Europe, etc.), and the Italian-French Patrick De Ritis, currently first bassoon soloist of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra.
“Meetings like these” – says Maestro Gaetano Russo, artistic director of the Nuova Scarlatti Orchestra – “are unique and essential occasions for our young people, because they can compare and express themselves at the highest artistic and professional levels”.
Bernardini and De Ritis will lead two workshops of chamber and orchestral exercises and activities crowned by two unmissable exceptional concert events:
Sunday 12 June 2022 at 7.30 pm, Chiesa dei SS. Marcellino e Festo (Naples. Largo San Marcellino 10), Scarlatti Young with Simone Bernardini, as violin and conductor, will propose a selection from the Quintet for strings in C major D 956 and from the Octet for winds and strings in F major D 803 by F. Schubert, and the Symphony concertante for violin, viola and orchestra K 364 by WA Mozart. Simone Bernardini will be a violinist in the selection from Schubert’s chamber masterpieces, while he will conduct Scarlatti Young in Mozart’s Concertante, which will alternate as soloists, in the three movements of the piece, as many as six instrumentalists: the violinists Riccardo Zamuner, Chiara Rollini, Salvatore Morvillo, and violists Martina Iacò, Matteo Introna, Andrea De Martino.

Marcellino and Festo, another rich chamber and orchestral program with Scarlatti Young and Patrick De Ritis, in the role of bassoon soloist and conductor, which includes the colorful Serenata for 10 instruments op. 44 by A.
