Moustapha Bokoum (ex-Ghent and Anderlechtois): “Continue my progress and accelerate the extent of my qualities in Belgium”
Free of any contract, the former Belgian U17 international is ready to take up a new challenge and make a name for himself in Belgium.
Passed by the youth teams at Club Brugge, Moustapha Bokoum had joined La Gantoise afterwards. After having evolved with the hopes of Ghent, the winger will leave Belgium for France where he will drop off his suitcases on the side of Béziers in Ligue 2 in 2018. The player will play his first pro matches across Quiévrain before suffering from cruciate ligaments twice, in 2019 and 2020. The young striker will return to the Buffalos before joining the U21s of Sporting d’Anderlecht then those of Charleroi last season.
“I had a good season with the Carolos, but I did not find myself in the departure project where I was to join the first team. However, I am happy to have been able to play again, find rhythm and my sensations. with the matches with the hopes. I now want to continue my progress and limit the extent of my qualities in Belgium or abroad”, confides the 22-year-old player. “This label of young hope sticks to my skin here whereas in France it is not the case since that is where I made my professional debut. I thought that my career was designed when I had I was 18 and then I was slowed down very young by two big injuries, but it made me stronger mentally. I think I experienced the hardest part of my career from the start and so I see things differently”, underlines the former Ghent.
Belgian international U17 on several occasions, Moustapha Bokoum is a twirling player thanks to his technical qualities and his speed. “I also feel good physically and I can’t wait to take up a new challenge. To be able to regain pleasure but also to hatch. There, I train at Drills in Brussels to maintain my form while waiting for the rest”, revealed Moustapha Bokoum .
According to our information, clubs from D1A and D1B, but also from Ligue 2 and Keuken Kampioen Divisie (Dutch D2) are expected, but there is nothing concrete for the moment.
