Belgium, 13th nation in the world, lost 3-1 (15-25, 25-21, 25-21, 25-15) against Turkey (FIVB 4) for their last match of the first week of competition of the Women’s Volleyball Nations League on Sunday in Ankara, Turkey.The Yellow Tigers owed their tournament with two 3-1 defeats against Serbia, 5th world nation and Italy, 7th world nation, before snatching their first 3-2 success on Saturday against Thailand (FIVB 15). The second week of this fourth edition of the League of Nations is scheduled for June 15-19 in Quezon City, the Philippines, with China, Canada, Poland and Bulgaria as opponents of the Belgians. Week 3 is scheduled for June 30-July 3 in Calgary, Canada against the United States, Germany, the Netherlands and Japan. In the standings, Belgium remains 12th out of 16 with 2 points.
