The Pas-de-Calais Hunters Federation explains its actions to Terres en fête
The Federation of Hunters of Pas-de-Calais (FDC 62) offers on its stand to inform visitors about the many hunting activities around the theme “Nature on the way “.
“We are going to promote the files supported by the Hauts-de-France region and in connection with the eco-contribution”says Stéphanie Cathelain, director of the federation. As a reminder, the eco-contribution corresponds to a sum of €5 deducted from the hunting permit, the sum of which is then doubled and reversed by the State (€10/permit) to the hunting federations so that they set up environmental actions. At Terres en fête, the focus will be on several operations. First, the one carried out for swallows with the installation of mud pits on the territory to promote the nesting and reproduction of these birds. The “A birdhouse in my garden” operation will also be highlighted, in particular through workshops with schoolchildren on Fridays, as well as the clean Hauts-de-France nature clean-up operation. Finally, during the three days, find a presentation of stuffed animals, an ephemeral mare, a shooting range and technical equipment. “The objective is to explain what hunters do all year round and what we bring to the management of the territory”says the manager.
