The entire program is free, but listeners can reward musicians with voluntary contributionsky. This year, the festival is also responding to the change in payment habits in the company, when non-cash payments are beginning to prevail. This also applies to the remuneration of buskers. This trend is the subject of much debate in the UK, for example, where busters are gradually equipping themselves with payment terminals. Festival Prague lives by music therefore, it comes up with a novelty in the form of the Storyous cash register system, thanks to which it will be possible to reward artists in a virtual hat with a cashless payment at each festival venue. The organizers want to show artists and the public that busking must adapt to trends and changes in society.

A lot of energy is poured into the city by a brass band Brass Avenuebrass hip hop Shizzle Orchestra, multiple champion of the Czech Republic in beatboxing and livelooping Tiny Beat or klezmer band Trombenik. Supraphon and Tranzistor music publishers will have separate stages at the festival. On the Transistor stage, in addition to those mentioned Island AND Barbora Mochowé to introduce a young singer Tomáš Bočekcharismatic art duo Brigita Cmuntová & Štěpán Klouček or a new discovery of the indie pop scene, a young singer Evah. Supraphon then presents fresh hopes from his stable: Talented performers Pilotnineteen year old singer RODANfrontman of the successful Sunflower Caravan, singer, songwriter and keyboardist Andy Čermákpromising Slovak singer SamDay and also an excellent chamber wind ensemble of world renown Belfiato Quintet.
The music program will be complemented by a number of other accompanying events, in which the streets will be enlivened by theater, acrobatics or dance or workshops for children. With the Pragulic association, those interested can go on non-traditional expeditions through the city. A Swing Dance Hall will be established on Šesťák. The Timbalooloo music workshop will be prepared for children on Václav Havel Square, and there will also be slam poetry performed by Přemysl Vávra, Jan Jícha and Tomáš Kůs.
The main festival route this year it will lead from Kampa via Jungmann Square and Můstek to Palladium on Republic Square. This year, however, we can also meet musicians on Černý most, Křižíkov, Vltavská or, for example, under the statue of David Černý in Nové Butovice. Festival Prague lives by music was established seven years ago to support street art in all aspects, its organizers, in addition to preparing the festival, have long negotiated with institutions, discussed with representatives and sought common solutions. Every year, a number of professional artists join the program, regardless of whether their beginnings were connected with busking or to try playing on the street for the first time. Together, they always support street artists, enthusiasm and talent bring music directly to people and thus diversify the atmosphere of life in the city. “We believe that music and art belong in the public sphere and have a positive effect not only as an element of diversification and revitalization, but also help to create stronger ties between the city, its inhabitants and the visitors of others,” adds festival director Jan Gregar. The festival also offers a chance to meet the youngest generation of musicians. “It is possible that you will come across such talent as bus dyers in the streets of Prague as musicians such as Bob Dylan, Ed Sheeran or Glen Hansard” adds with a smile Jan Gregar.
Festival Prague lives by music organizes in cooperation with hl. the city of Prague Nerudný fest.cz, which is behind the international festival Youth Tunes Jazz, Student Fest, Concert for the Future on November 17, the new city festival in Česká Kamenice and other cultural projects.
