Prague 5: Closing Ceremony VIII. year “SENIOR ACADEMY”

City Council of Prague 5 JUDr. Petr Lachnit finished VIII. year of the unique security project SENIOR ACADEMY by handing over commemorative certificates of completion to the participants. This project was created in cooperation with the Municipal District of Prague 5 and the Municipal Police of the Capital City of Prague. m of Prague, prevention department.
Security SENIOR ACADEMY is a comprehensive series of two-hour educational lectures in the field of crime prevention, intended for all active seniors, residing in Prague 5. This spring lecture was attended by a total of 60 seniors from Prague 5. Lecture cycles took place at Prague 5 City Hall. Wednesday from March to May 25, 2022 in the afternoon.

As Councilor JUDr. Petr Lachnit “Due to the unexpectedly great interest of citizens in participating in this project, the City Hall of Prague 5 is negotiating with the Municipal Police of the Capital City of Prague. Of Prague on the possibility of continuing the security SENIOR ACADEMY in the spring months of 2023, so that it is possible to include in the course also those seniors from Prague 5 who did not get a place in this spring run. ”
The SENIOR ACADEMY security lecture series, which is completely free of charge, includes a total of 11 lectures, including the closing ceremony of the academy. The aim of the lectures is to teach seniors, people with disabilities, cope with crisis situations, call for help, etc., including practical examples and instructional films. Participants will gain practical information on how to significantly contribute to the protection of personal safety and people and property in their immediate vicinity. The lecturers are employees of the Prevention Department of the City Police. m of Prague. Participants in the training were also able to take part in a free excursion to the Central Operations Center of the City Police. m from Prague, to the Museum of the Police of the Czech Republic and to the Dog Home in Troja.
After graduating from the academy, each participant received a commemorative certificate of graduation from the academy, small items to secure the apartment and the house, brochures and leaflets, including small refreshments. Graduates of this course will be regularly invited to a seminar once a year, where they will be able to share new information in the field of crime prevention and also where they will be able to share their own experience for the past period.
