Live. Still great difficulties in reaching Lyon from the south on the A7
6:30 p.m. | 10 km of traffic jams on the A7 in North Isère
On the A7, at the signal a slowdown of more than 10 km in Isère, between Reventin-Vaugris and Seyssuel, in the Vienne-Lyon direction.
An accident, involving three vehicles, occurred shortly after 5 p.m. on the A43, in the Chambéry-Lyon direction, near Saint-Quentin-Fallavier (Isère), published our colleagues from Dauphiné Libéré. He caused no injuries. There have been additional slowdowns on this axis between Bourgoin-Jallieu and Lyon, where traffic is getting denser.
In the agglomeration, traffic is generally fluid. However, traffic jams formed on both sides of the tunnel under Fourvière. It is difficult to reach the center of Lyon from the M6 where the slowdowns impact motorists near Ecully.
17 hours | It’s always hell on the A7 towards Lyon
Hours pass and the situation remains the same. It is still very complicated to reach Lyon from the south this Sunday afternoon. Orange, count at least 4 hours from From to reach the capital of Gaul.
On the M7, in the south/north direction, the cars drive slowly as they approach the tunnel under Fourvière.
Traffic is also heavy at the other end of Lyon. The traffic is dense around the Porte de Valvert. It takes about 45 minutes to travel Villefranche-sur-Saône – Givors.
16 hours | In the agglomeration, things are not going too badly (for the moment!)
If the motorway traffic jams are dangerously approaching Lyon, things are going pretty well on the roads of the Metropolis.
Be careful, slowdowns are starting to appear on the M6 in the north/south direction. Traffic is busy but fluid at the entrance to the tunnel under Fourvière (see below). It should get more complicated as the afternoon progresses.
15 hours | More than 4 hours of journey for rally Lyon from Orange
The galley continues on the A7 in the middle of the afternoon. At 3 p.m., Vinci Autoroutes informs that it takes 4:10 to reach Lyon south from Orange, against 1:40 when traffic is fluid.
If you come up from the south, be patient!
2:15 p.m.| The traffic jams on the A7 now go back to Vienna
The traffic jams continue to approach the Lyon conurbation. On the A7 motorway, towards Lyon, it is now clogged in the agglomeration of Vienne, with 10 kilometers of slowdown between Saint-Cyr-sur-Rhône (Isère) and Chasse-sur-Rhône (Isère).
The travel time between Orange and the south of Lyon was 3h50 shortly after 1 p.m. instead of 1h40 on the Autoroute du Soleil.
2 p.m.| It’s blocked at the entrance to the tunnel under Fourvière
Traffic is now complicated at the entrance to the tunnel under Fourvière in the direction of Paris with 2 to 3 kilometers of slowdowns.
850 kilometers of traffic jams all over France at noon
According to the figures communicated by Bison Futé, there were, at midday, more than 850 kilometers of cumulative traffic jams on the main axes of the country. The south of France with the A7, the A8 or the A9 is the main region affected by these weekend returns.
1:25 p.m.| End of the accident and difficulties on the A7
The accident that took place in Solaize on the A7 motorway towards Lyon is now over. There are no more difficulties to note in this sector.
1:15 p.m.| Already 80 kilometers of traffic jams on the A7 further south
As the report our colleagues from Dauphiné, traffic is very difficult on the A7 motorway south of Lyon and heading north. The plugs thus extend from Mornas, in the Vaucluse, to Valence, in the Drôme, over nearly 80 kilometers!
1:10 p.m. | Traffic generally fluid for the hour
If Bison Futé had planned slowdowns from the end of the morning on the main roads in the Lyon area, for the time being, apart from the difficulties on the A7, traffic is fluid. The congestion rate of roads and highways in the agglomeration is 18% at 1:10 p.m.
1 p.m. | First difficulties on the A7
After an accident on the A7 motorway near Solaize and in the direction of Lyon and Paris, the first traffic jams are felt in the sector with already 2 kilometers of slowdowns. Traffic should load in the next few hours on the A7 according to the spies of Bison Futé.
Bison Futé sees black this Sunday
After a Wednesday and a Thursday, synonymous with the start of the long Ascension weekend, where major difficulties had occurred on the highways of the Rhône and the metropolis of Lyon, this Sunday, the situation should be even worse. Bison Futé sees black and thus announces “extremely difficult traffic” in the Rhône Valley and more generally throughout France in the direction of returns.
