The poll is decided by the football academy, which includes first-league coaches and captains, representatives with at least 25 starts in the national team, winners of previous years and representatives of the media and associations.
Schick had an extremely successful past year. He played 11 matches for the national team and scored eight goals. He shone mainly at the European Summer Championships, where he scored five times and finished second to the victorious Portuguese Cristian Ronald in the table of gunners only because he did not have assistance.
In the opening duel at the championship in Scotland, he shone the most beautiful goal of the tournament from a record distance of 49.7 meters. They helped the national team to advance to the quarterfinals.
Schick scored 21 goals in the Bundesliga last year, 16 of them in the autumn part of last season. In this spring’s part, which no longer counted in the poll, he added another eight goals and finished second behind Robert Lewandowski of Bayern Munich in the table of gunners.
Since 2000, Schick has been the second striker after David Lafat to control the FACR poll. He received an unusually high number of 949 points from the voters and defeated Souček’s defending champion by 258 points.

The best representative of the Czech league in the sixth position is the Spartan offensive universal Adam Hložek. Compared to the previous year, there were four changes in the top ten.

This year, the people of Prague did not have enough for Pilsen and did not defend the trophy. The national team coach Jaroslav Šilhavý did not even have enough time to advance to the poll in the quarterfinals of the Euro, he lost 78 points to Trpišovský. Martin Svědík from Slovácko finished third.
The third place from last year was improved by the winner of the talent category, the spartan Karabec. The 18-year-old offensive midfielder with a big lead of 271 points surpassed the second midfielder Daniel Samek from Slavia, and the forward Tomáš Čvančara finished third.
