CNN, citing its own sources, reports that in the United States Joe Biden’s administration They plan to provide a consignment of weapons to Ukraine, in particular modern multiple rocket launchers, which could lead to a turning point in the war. At the same time, the United States fears that Ukraine could strike at Russian territory using the latest weapons from the Allies. This was reported by Reuters, citing the US military and diplomats.
Such discussions, journalists say, are behind the scenes and are not advertised. At the same time, according to Reuters, the United States does not want to impose clear geographical restrictions on the use of Ukrainian military and American weapons by the Ukrainian military. Large-scale war of Russia against Ukraine
On February 24, 2022, Russia attacked Ukraine on the ground and in the air along the entire length of the common border. The territory of Belarus was used to invade the Kyiv region with the intention of capturing the capital. In the south, the Russian army, in particular, bought part of the Zaizhye and Kherson regions, and in the north – the districts of Sumy and Chernihiv.
Vladimir Putin calls the full-scale invasion of Russian President “a special operation.” Initially, its definition was defined as “demilitarization and denazification”, later – “protection of Donbass”.
Russian authorities say the army is not attacking civilian targets. At the same time, Russian aircraft, missile forces, navy and artillery shell the Ukrainian city every day. Dwelling houses and objects of civil infrastructure in Mariupol, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Severodonetsk, as well as in Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities and villages are subject to destruction.
In early April, Ukraine and the West estimated Russia’s loss in the war at 15-20 thousand killed. The Kremlin says the figure is ten times lower, although Putin’s spokesman said he had lost a “significant” figure. In March, Ukraine claimed 1,300 dead defenders. President Zelensky said that the losses of Ukraine and Russia in this war were “one in ten.”
Unable to overcome the resistance of the Armed Forces, the surviving Russian units in early April left the territory of Kyiv, Chernihiv and Sumy regions.
After the liberation of Kyiv region from Russian troops in the cities of Bucha, Irpin, Gostomel and villages of the region, the facts of mass murder, torture and rape of civilians, including children, were revealed. Ukrainian authorities have said that Russia is committing genocide. Western countries are involved in the confirmed facts of mass killings. Russia denies war crimes charges and calls the Bucha killings a “staging.”
Later, the facts of torture and murder of Ukrainian citizens began to be revealed in almost all settlements that were under Russian occupation.
The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights has confirmed 8,766 civilian casualties, killing 4,031 and injuring 4,735 as a result of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine. This is the day from February 24 to midnight on May 26, reported to the UNHCR.
